Who won the fight? Shaka Zulu vs Moshoeshoe I of Lesotho
We welcome the Crowns of Belgium and Lesotho as referrees.
Welcome to the official record of the ancient fight between ancestors. I am your host, Kote. Today, we will look into the innevitable historical clash between King Moshoeshoe I and King Shaka Zulu, which would have inevitably taken place as we explore below. First, a PSA.
#PSAstarts
"I am making my declaration of eviction serving notice arrangement public so that the IcA may cringe, because they know who I am, and how far I'm prepared to go #IsvaraParamAtma Bhagavan #PerTerraASangui neAdIdenti level magick on them."
#PSAend.
So, my name is attached to landmass in the minelands, where dwell 482 (growing estimate) grown ups who are my Grandmother's people, literally, because the landmass used to be a part of Basotholand until 1868, when our king annexed his cousins (my grandmother's grandfather #KoteJacobusMont oedi when he was a boyman of 5-8 yrs of age).
Now, let us apply #LoTR, #GOT, #BibleStudy, #QuranicReasonin g, #SriIsopanisadWi sdom with ancestral facts. It is only fair that I publically be forthcoming. Montoedi loosely translates to 'warrior', and during #Defacane (1800s landgrab conquest spurred by the ship beings, championed by many great warriors, my ancestor #MoshoeshoeI and #SenzaNgakhonaSh akaZulu were champions, and my ancestor overcame Shaka into place when they faced one another as King versus King in ritual combat.)
We know the deal, we have seen the movies, here do we apply the facts. #KingMoshoeshoeT heFirst fought with the option of an assortment of staffs, and #Shaka was on a quest to expand Zululand for the VOC as a last effort at salvaging losses.
At some point or another, Senzangakhona met Moshoeshoe, and Moshoeshoe (Known to be a diplomatic fellow) said "one on one, we need not waste lives".
Now, Moshoeshoe's output was a wise one, and he fought to subdue and never kill, because he followed the Old ways, dating back to true #NegusNegast. The old ways are pretty modern history according to our DNA.
Is shaka zulu remembered as having been an objective, passive fellow; or a military genius with the flaw of an obvious bloodlust?
Right, since we agree, because #BoomBoomBoomBom Bom #BomBom_BomBomtriggers everybody Zwap in South Africa. The basic consensus on the great Zulu warrior, is that it was innevitable that someone was going to shaft him, yet he died without a single victory over Moshoeshoe neither in combat nor in politics, evidently.
So, why is Lesotho so small and KZN so big?
It doesn't matter, because Lesotho has independence and sovereignty, and KZN is a province in South Africa, assured by trust, as is my grandmother's land.
Although Moshoeshoe tactically exiled us in surrendering so much of his inheritence to Victoria's collection of Crown Jewels, the plan for independence was sent as a message carried by birds and trees in the wind, reptiles and mammals by land, through ritual in fire, across all faiths which bare the #HolySpirit, fun fact.
So this message reached my namesake ancestor, Kote, who rallied all the remaining grown youths, BaKwena, BaThabane, who remembered the message just in time, coincidentally when a white missionary came through saying "this is the way how to" in the mid 1940s before he passed.
His fave granddaughter married an elephant and through that here I stand, a namesake barer of the message as Kote, named by my grandmother who reads every single day of her life, or plays Sudoku, or plays wordsearch.
In conclusion, what happened when Senzangakhona met Moshoeshoe the first on the battlefield that day in mid-colonial establishment in May c1811-1828? Shaka charged head strong and confident at old Tubby Moshoeshoe, who negated, disarmed, and staffed this laaitie senseless, although the laaitie turned out to be something like Brock Lesnar, so Moshoeshoe knew to knock him out early, so Moshoeshoe knocked him out. They say the battle made for an excellent display, and some claim Moshoeshoe prolonged it for the exercise factor, and pulled several crucial blows to preserve the fight spirit, much to the cheers of both sides. When Shaka was out cold, Zulu warriors were shown which route to take home, provided with cattle, cooked meats, corn, and some Sotho girls went missing.
When the scouts who had been sent to find the girls returned, they carried some of the cattle saying the Zulu gentlemen vowed to send more upon arrival, but we know little of those affairs.
Whom is there to refute such a series of tales.
