Welcome to $LNBP's official News page! We smash things off with loose predictions for the outcomes of a choice few matches of interest at WWE's Day1 pay-per-view event, available to WWE fans worldwide through the WWE Network (Channel 128, DStv).
First, some background to the event. The WWE's primary set of products is a weekly televised entertainment-based combat sport viewing experience. The company has evolved beyond the curb, and is excelling where few other incorporations dare reach. Day 1 is the latest best thing to happen in the WWE Universe because of the storytelling which went into the pay-per-view production.
Four hard-hitting, bone-fracturing, gut-breaking, face-shattering WWE athletes are set to collide in a Fatal-Four-Way-Match at Day 1 for the WWE Championship. The WWE Championship is prestigious and coveted. It is the privilege and honor of any wrestler to earn the opportunity to defend. Big E - who won the championship from Bobby Lashley by cashing in his 'Money In the Bank' contract back in 2021 - has successfully defended his championship against a number of challengers, and seemingly regards this fatal four way match as 'another big match for me to win!'.
The WWE Raw Women's Champion, Big Time Becks, the disarm-her; manslam her; do anything to win, Becky Lynch (left) may be guilty of overlooking her Day 1 Challenger. Liv Morgan (right) is looking to take her first WWE Championship, and earn herself a nickname. (Picture source: LastWordOnSport) |
There are numerous reasons why professional articles written by professional journalists about fights starring Becky Lynch and whoever else exist across the WWE Universe. Becky Lynch fought one of the greatest battles as a wrestler in WWE: that against the possibility of becoming a footnote. There are many footnotes in the pages of WWE history. The women's division - which expanded from the Diva's era into the best part of any and every WWE show because of the athleticism, storytelling, grit and the lives of whoever is holding a championship as a woman (Shoutout Dana Brooke, staying won 24/7 as WWE 24/7 Champion: all the best to Tamina). Becky Lynch is at the top of this paragraph.
Two Actors. Two Iconic WWE careers. Two Ego's far too big for one WWE Raw, which only really has one slot for Awesome. Edge (left) feels he can take it from Miz (right). Get it? (Picture source: Sportskeeda ) |
This match will be won by the Miz. In a nutshell, both performers are going to leave it all out in the ring. The build up to this match has been stellar. The Miz outshines many Hall of Famers in a room filled with the powerful people who matter a lot to the greater society. And, in America, the Miz is really big. America, as a continent, believes in the Miz. The Miz is a loveable character to boo. In fact, boo's - to the Miz - are akin to how 'you suck' turned into an anthem of appreciation to Kurt Angle.
It is impossible to tell who will be Universal Champion at the end of Day 1. Will it be record reigning, head of the table, Tribal Chief Roman Reigns (left)? Or will the beast incarnate Brock Lesnar (right) manifest the prophesy of a disgraced wise man, and once more be the undisputed WWE Universal champion? It's a must see. (Picture source: sportzwiki) |
This thrilling to anticipate bout remains in a constant state of being highly anticipated. Many words? That's Paul Heyman for you. The middle-man between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar. This segment is quite possibly likely to go all the way to Wrestlemania, and finally be settled in Dallas Texas. Who is likely to win the Universal Championship at Day 1? Statistically speaking, looking solely at wins and losses between 2020 and the present: Roman Reigns has a statistic advantage over Brock Lesnar. In turn, a Lesnar loss to Reigns would mean 'a consecutive loss'. Another loss would damage the reputation and the refined ego of Brock Lesnar, who has dominated generations of wrestlers in his prolific career as a combat sports athletic performer.
