Dagger of Love
It would be a lie to
say that I wasn’t afraid. It was almost like something out of a movie. One
minute we were walking. The next minute, I saw a knife. The next, I had it in
my own hands. A choice had to be made. I was victorious. I could take my vengeance.
I could drive it through the heart of my would-be assailant.
A miracle. I was okay.
I had the weapon in my hand. It was at that moment that I realized that the
most powerful weapon I had was my own mind. Knives are for cutting: apples,
bread. There is a saying: guns don’t kill people. People do. People make
weapons what they are. People create the associations. I, myself, am a person.
I had a choice to make in that instance, in that dream-like instance where my
very life flashed before my eyes. I saw, for the very first time ever, only
light. Only love.
I put the knife in my pocket and continued walking with my brothers. Nothing had happened. My brother had not taken my life, for which his own was spared. I walked on and I spoke.
I put the knife in my pocket and continued walking with my brothers. Nothing had happened. My brother had not taken my life, for which his own was spared. I walked on and I spoke.
“My brother, why would
you try take from me that which isn’t yours? What I have is the very best of
me, and this is what I offer to you. Hear me.”
And he listened. We
walked a little while and sat down under the shade of a beautiful brick wall. I
asked him what he did, and he told me. He’s a civil engineer. He draws plans
and creates realities. I write words and create reality. He is no less a
creator of this world than what I am. I shared with him my dream for him. That
he may rise, for nothing has happened. We were two brothers sitting in the
shade, sharing dreams of tomorrow. I told him of my mother, his mother, who
toils hard that I may have the little I have in this physical world. I told him
of our Father, who wishes nothing more than to see all his sons rise from this
Hell as I have and walk in heaven, in the glory of His light.
My brother smiled. I smiled. He had come home, and our Father welcomed him with arms wide open through me. I said: “brother, take this money, catch a taxi to town and offer your services to those who need them. Together, we can build this world. Together, we can create heaven for all. Take this little, and go be a civil engineer – for this is what you were born to be. And in time, we shall sit in Sandton and dine together as brothers. You’ll be paying, of course, for I am but a writer. I have nothing but words laced with the love of our Divine Father. And I give them to you, for these are your words.”
He smiled. I smiled. We walked on. By the power vested in me, I replaced the powers of hate and fear that ran through the metal of his blade with the purest Love of all: the Love of a brother who walks in the light. I gave it back to him. Wherever that knife may roam in this world, those who wield it will spread the Love of our Divine Maker, for it is He who gives me this awesome power.
My brother led me to the gate, where he left me with a gift. With love, he gave me that which my heart sorely wanted. A gift from nature Herself. We met as strangers, separated by this world and taught fear and hate. We parted as brothers; as equals under the light of my teacher Christ – a great magi, with great power.
I, myself a being of great power, write these words to share with you all, my brothers, the teachings of a wise man who roamed this earth in his time. These are the teachings of the world which is coming, the world in which all will know the true power of being a human being. Yesterday I flew. I saw the heavens from the earth whereupon I sat. Today, I healed. Tomorrow, we will all roam in Valhalla together. I wait for you all here. It’s really pretty. The colours are all vivid. The air is clean. There are hearts wanting nothing more than to love, for all they have to offer in return is love – the very best of them.
