Converged presentation on paywalls and multiplatformization towards salvaging media revenue

Corrections up front : Doyle has, unfortunately, been missited as having written and been published a year earlier than is factual by the compiler of this digital presentation.  At the time of going to print, there were hours leading into the final deadline.  The author wishes to emphasize that Doyle was published in 2015 and not 2016 as everywhere else stated. Paywalls are here to stay, and have been securedly applied within the media and news organisation landscape since the early 21st century (Myllyllahti, Pickard and Williams: 2014).  The success of paywalls has been inconsistent to measure (Myllyllahti, 2014) and paywalls have only slightly mitigated losses sustained by media conglomorates facing declining newspaper sales and advertising revenue since the turn of the century..
