Mind

Two weeks Earlier A mind is turbulent. There are many thoughts happening at the same time. A man must have social security; his rent must be paid, and there needs to be food on the table - to pretend otherwise is foolhardy. Secondly, it is essential that he obtain his Bachelor qualification. He, thus, needs, a place to stay while he achieves great ends. He has a place, however he can no longer maintain his position within that establishment. He has two options: to return home and face an unpl easant reality once more, or to journey forward. All motion in a forward direction must be strategic, as any failure - even the slightest - could prove detrimental to his first and foremost priority of fucking graduating, fams. So. That's me. I live in a place I can no longer afford, until I leave and I either go home - or to a new place... The idea of a new place is intoxicating and surreal. I welcome it. Wherever I go, she won't be there. She won't be there for a while. S

Smokey full moon

Once there was a girl named Jessica, who sat in wait for a sign. It was a full moon. The night was still but for the drone of voices filling the small cracks in between the silence. Lost in thought, and wandering through cold and barren streets, my path crossed her’s. She opened a box of cigarettes and she pulled one out as I neared. “Hi.” said I with a smile. “Hello,” she said with a bright beam. “May I borrow your lighter?” I asked. “Yes, you may indeed!” said she. She foraged in her handbag for a second and pulled out a green lighter. There was nothing special about the lighter. It was green. It was a lighter. I reached out for it and she gently placed it in my hand. I felt her hand. It was soft. I looked up from behind the cigarette projecting out from under my nose and I saw for the first time how truly beautiful she was. “Thank you,” I said. “Are you studying tonight,” she asked.
